For over fifty years Campion School has been well established as one of the leading international schools in Athens. With approximately 660 pupils, Campion has two forms per year in the Junior School and three teaching groups per year in the Senior School. Class sizes are small with approximately 20 pupils per classroom across the school, with class sizes significantly less in the IB Diploma programme.

Founded in 1970 by the Philhellenes Thomas and Betsy Shortell, Campion has three founding aims:

  1. To achieve academic excellence for the English speaking community of Athens.
  2. To create a wholesome environment based on moral values to enable students to develop their characters and become responsible citizens in their respective communities.
  3. To engender and develop an understanding and love for Greece and for Greek ideals.

The school strives to provide a safe, family environment in which children can perform to their full potential in green, secure surroundings in the northeast Attica suburb of Pallini.

We offer a wide range of subjects at both IGCSE level and the International Baccalaureate diploma programme. Campion’s academic programmes are enriched with a large number of extra-curricular activities encompassing sporting, dramatic and musical endeavours.
