On 17th May, the 14th Annual HARA Games were hosted at Campion School. This year this event involved over 20 schools for people with special needs, 300 athletes, and over 100 volunteers, partner athletes, parents, and staff.
A number of track and field events were participated in, such as the 25m walk, 50m run, javelin, and long jump, by athletes and volunteer athletes who joined forces in a show of collaboration and camaraderie. As well as sporting events, the event featured a face-painting station organised by Year 12 students as well as a dance event run by a local dance centre, in which everyone participated. Snacks, ice cream and juices were offered to all involved in the event. Laughter and friendship rang through the sunlit stadium all day long!
We all had a great time and we are looking forward to hosting this event next year!
