With around 70 pupils attending and over 540 euros made, the Year 7-9 Halloween Dance this year was yet again a success! All money that wasn’t spent on food and decor was donated to ‘Ο Άλλος Άνθρωπος’ soup kitchen in order to support the CAS project of fellow Year 13 students!
At 7pm sharp, the school Hall buzzed with excitement as students poured in, dressed in their creative and spooky costumes. Many headed straight for the dance floor, moving to the lively music filling the room. While near the food stand, a crowd gathered to sample the Hallowe’en-themed snacks, including brain cupcakes and bat cookies.
The first stop in the activities for many was the candy jar stand, where guesses were written down in the hope of winning the sweet prize at the end of the night. The energy ramped up with the highly anticipated mummy-wrap challenge. Teams of two raced against each other to wrap their partner in toilet paper, aiming to be the fastest and neatest “mummy” creators. We brought activities to an end after the costume competition.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing CAS volunteers. Right after school, the decorators got to work transforming the Hall. Their efforts set the perfect spooky mood for the evening. Many of these volunteers monitored the dance making it a safe and fun experience for all. Their dedication and hard work were crucial to the event’s success, and we are so grateful for their contributions!
A big thank you to all our teachers that helped us with this dance as well as the parents who have been very supportive. Could not have been done without you!
