In support of Prolepsis

On International Day the Volunteers Club had a table to support the Prolepsis Institute which, on a daily basis, provides healthy meals to children in need all over Greece. We raised money by organising a face-painting stand, a hair salon and through the selling of baked goods. The Prolepsis Institute had provided us with books, games and puzzles of their own publication as well as with informative leaflets, which we distributed to the visitors. The children could become a “carrot” or an “orange” through cut-out figures that had a space for their faces which proved to be an entertaining activity and a fantastic photo opportunity. The total amount raised was Euros 330 which will be donated to the aforementioned Institute to support their philanthropic aims.

A special thanks should be given to the PRC and especially to Mrs Roditi and Mrs Diamantides. Mrs Middleton and Mrs Vogdanos should be praised for their contributions as they not only baked for us but were also there on the day to help in any way possible. Last but not least, a massive thank you to Mrs Veloudaki, the Director of Prolepsis Institute, for all her support and coordination with us as well as for her presence on the day which honoured and brought enthusiasm to the members of Campion Volunteers Club.
We are satisfied with the outcome of this activity and look forward to repeating it next year.
