Year 8 theatre trip

On Tuesday 20th November, the Year 8 pupils visited the VEMBO theatre in the centre of Athens to watch the musical Trelantonis based on the book written by Penelope Delta. The musical was about the adventures and the mischief that Antoni caused during the summer he spent with his siblings at his aunt and uncle's houses in Castela and Kifisia. It was a wonderful experience! The set and props were very realistic, detailed and colourful, and the costumes were beautiful, elegant and quite dressy.

The actors played really well and interacted with the audience a lot. It was very entertaining to watch and extremely amusing. The songs were quite catchy and fun and all the actors sang very well. There was also a lot of dancing, which was very enjoyable to watch. All the characters in the musical had vivid and interesting personalities, especially Antoni and Pouloudia (Penelope’s nickname as a child). The events which took place were very relatable because they depicted common questions or problems everyone experiences during their childhood years. It was a great performance that was extremely fun to watch! After the performance we all went on the stage to take a photo with the actors. It was a great trip and we really enjoyed it.
