IB1 Visual Arts visit national archaeological museum

The Year 12 Visual Arts class, accompanied by Ms Dres, visited the National Archaeological Museum in the centre of Athens. First, the students were taken through every section of the museum and afterwards went their separate ways to sketch the statues and anything else they were interested in. It was really wonderful seeing all the different types of artwork up close and learning about Greek art. Every student collected research by drawing and taking notes and this information would be used for their own artwork back in the class room. The students look forward to their next art visit as a group in order to come up with more ideas for their IB Visual Arts course.
