Islamic Art Museum visit

On 7th May, Year 7 and 8 Arabic students set off on an educational trip to the Islamic Art Museum, located in the centre of Monastiraki. The museum was built in the late 20th century but was only available to the public in 2004. The museum contains a wide range of Islamic artefacts ranging from the 7th to the early 20th century.

Students were given the chance to explore the scientific and artistic contributions of Islamic world which have affected our modern society. Overall the trip was a great educational experience which widened the students' understanding of Arabian societies and traditions.
