A different kind of basketball game!

On Tuesday 14th of May, two “different” basketball games took place on the Campion indoor courts. Two basketball teams from Kivotos tou Kosmou, a non-profit organisation which supports more than 500 families in need, visited our school in order to play basketball.
All players tried their very best and the children from Kivotos managed to win. During the games, the viewers’ anxiety was palpable as the teams were very talented and passionate. The students from Campion had the opportunity to communicate with the children from Kivotos who were thrilled not only to encounter Campion students, but also to show them their remarkable skills in basketball.
It was a unique chance for pupils from different backgrounds to get together and spend a couple of hours playing basketball and talking to each other like old friends. In addition, it was a great opportunity for Campion volunteers to give Kivotos tou Kosmou the amount of Euro 1,000 that had been raised, with the initiative of Year 10 pupils, in numerous activities organised before Easter holidays.
We would like to thank the PE Department as well as all teachers and parents who supported our cause in every possible way. We hope that we will have the chance to get together with pupils from Kivotos tou Kosmou again in the future!
