Our Year 5 pupils recently enjoyed a fascinating and immersive trip to Thermopylae, the iconic site of the ancient battle between the Greeks and the Persians. At the local museum, they delved into the stories of the brave warriors, including the legendary 300 Spartans who courageously faced the vast Persian army. The experience became even more powerful as they walked the very ground where history unfolded, imagining the epic clash that shaped the course of ancient Greece. To complete the adventure, they felt the warmth of the famous Thermopylae springs, whose bubbling waters have flowed for centuries. It was a memorable experience that truly brought history to life!
